CHUN Woo-hee Eyeing Co-Starring Role

Returning last week after a six-year hiatus, A Man and A Woman director LEE Yoon-ki is jumping right back into the saddle, having fixed My Angel as his next project. Actor KIM Nam-gil is already on board and CHUN Woo-hee is eyeing the co-starring role.

The Shameless (2015) star KIM will play an insurance agent whose wife kills herself in front of him. During the aftermath, he meets a woman in a coma.

KIM has been stepping up his work in film in recent years, scoring a summer hit in 2014 with The Pirates, before appearing in Cannes-invited drama The Shameless and musical period drama THE SOUND OF A FLOWER last year. He will first be seen again in disaster film Pandora and thriller A Murderer's Guide to Memorization.

New star CHUN broke out when she starred in the critically-acclaimed indie drama HAN Gong-ju (2014) and has since been seen in The Piper and The Beauty Inside and will next be seen in NA Hong-jin’s highly anticipated Goksung and the period drama LOVE, LIES by PARK Heung-sik.

Director LEE has drawn acclaim for his sensitive melodramas ever since he debuted with This Charming Girl in 2005. He is also known for My Dear Enemy (2008) and Come Rain, Come Shine (2011). His latest film A Man and A Woman, featuring JEON Do-yeon and GONG Yoo opened last weekend.

Once casting is complete, shooting for My Angel is expected to get underway at the end of March.
