His feature film debut came in 2006, with the comedy-drama <The Art of Fighting>, a modest success which featured BAEK Yoon-shick as a curmudgeonly fighting mentor for a teenage boy. SHIN followed that up two years later with the high concept, period set sex comedy <A Tale of Legendary Libido>, a vehicle for funny man BONG Tae-gyu. Following that film’s poor showing, SHIN next served as a screenwriter for the 2011 smash hit <Clash of the Families>, a Romeo and Juliet-inspired comedy featuring SONG Sae-byeok and LEE Si-young, not to mention past and future SHIN collaborators BAEK Yoon-shik and KIM Su-mi.
