The film 6/45 is a comedy based on the story of getting a lottery ticket accidentally. A soldier (Go Kyoungpyo) in the South Korean army, who is about to be discharged from the military service, happens to pick up a lottery ticket. The problem is that it is the winning lottery with the prize of a billion won. However, the lottery ticket flies away by the wind, crosses over the military demarcation, and ends up in the hands of a North Korean soldier (Yi Yikyung). The desperate South Korean soldier boldly crosses the military demarcation line and heads for North Korea to regain the winning lottery. However, the North Korean soldier also learns that the lottery ticket is the winner, and a quiet inter-Korean war begins between them, who cannot give up. A lottery ticket that is blown by the wind throws something to think about the relationship between South & North Korea, the only ‘divided country’ in the world. The subject matter of the desire for money ironically serves as a link between the soldiers of the two Koreas.

More than 20 years after the film, Joint Security Area/JSA, the new film 6/45 sets in the Guard Post (GP) and creates a lovely and pleasant comedy with a fairytale atmosphere. Director Park Gyutae puts forward lovely characters and makes a pleasant laugh by carefully designing them not to fall into ideological prejudice or hate. Especially, the film shows excellent comic chemistry among young Korean actors such as Go Kyoungpyo, Yi Yikyung, and Park Sewan. Since its release, 6/45 has emerged as a dark horse, topping the Korean box office.
