Three years after appearing in Bong Joonho’s Parasite (2019) and Zhang Lu’s Fukuoka (2019), Park Sodam returns to theaters this week in the new action-thriller Special Delivery. Park plays Eunha, a talented driver who carries out deliveries for a criminal organization and has developed a reputation for never failing to deliver anything on time, no matter the difficulty of the task. Her skills and loyalty are put to the test when her latest delivery enters her car - a young boy. Feeling sympathy for the young rider, she decides not to follow her mission, which puts her straight into the crosshairs of the police, who are in the pockets of the organization she works for.

Special Delivery is the latest film from director Park Daemin, who previously made the mystery-thriller Private Eye (2009) and the period film Seondal: The Man Who Sells the River (2016). Following its domestic theatrical launch this month, the film will have its international premiere at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR), where it will screen later this month in the Harbour program. Distributor Contents Panda recently developed and successfully sold a collection of NFT art for the film in the lead up to its release, making it the first Korean film to explore the new world of non-fungible tokens.
