Having made his name through a number of stage performances and won Best New Actor at the Korean Theatre Grand Awards, he moved to television in 2012, when he joined the extensive cast of the Goryeo Era-set drama series <God of War> (2012). Despite his appearances as a supporting character in the courtroom drama <The Unfair> (2013) and the hit thriller <Master> (2016), PARK was first brought to the attention of viewers when he played a Joseon-era official and a modern-day police office in the fantasy drama series <Six Flying Dragons> (2015-2016). He later gained wider recognition with his top-billing role in the series <Prison Playbook> (2017-2018), for which he received the Baeksang Art Award for Best New Actor in Television. In 2019, he was seen in <Collector>, YIM Pil-sung segment of the Netflix anthology film <Persona> (2019) and later starred in the drug scandal thriller <By Quantum Physics: A Nightlife Venture> (2019).
