A natural science graduate, SEO Eun-young first did some research work for a semiconductor company and would usually spend her free time watching classic movies in arthouse cinemas. One day, while she was attending the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) during her vacation, an urgent matter at work forced her to cancel her plans and jump on the first train to Seoul. It was during that journey that she resolved to quit and enter the film school of the Korea National University of Arts. SEO Eun-young first directed several short films such as <Rainy Season> (2013) and <Start of Murder> (2014), and in 2015 her debut feature <Overman> (2015) was selected by BIFF, where it won the Daemyung Culture Wave Award. Her second feature, <Go Back> (2020) received the Korean Fantastic Distribution Fund for Feature Film at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival.Less
