Born in 1992, KIM Ji-won entered the entertainment industry by accident, as she was scouted in the street when she was still in middle school. After joining a talent agency where she would spend years learning singing and acting, she made her first screen appearances in 2008, first in a music video from Younha and later in KNN’s TV series <Mrs. Saigon>. She was first noticed in 2010 for a commercial in which she co-starred the members of boy band Big Bang, but it is two years later, while she was still in high school, that she skyrocketed to fame thanks to a commercial for the soda Oran C, earning her the nickname of “Oran C Girl”. The following year, she landed her first big screen role in JANG Jin’s <Romantic Heaven> (2011) as one of the leads before gaining wider recognition later that year with a supporting part in sitcom <High Kick 3: Revenge of the Short Legged> (2011-2012) and a featuring role in <What’s Up> (2011-2012). This was followed by a few other TV series such as the drama <To The Beautiful You> (2012) and <The Heirs> (2013) as well as the crime-thriller <Gap-dong> (2014).
