Starting in 1996, he worked under the director of photography KIM Hyung-koo for three years, and met KIM Sung-soo who directed <Beat> (1997) and <City of the Rising Sun> (1998). He worked as a line producer on the Korea-China joint film <MUSA-The Warrior> (2001) as a member of the production team of Uno Films and Sidus. When KIM Sung-soo established Nabi Pictures in 2002, he joined him as a producer to work on the company’s two films, <Please Teach Me English> (2003) and <The Restless> (2006).
