He focuses on original score rather than compilation or arrangement. He drew attention in his early days for working as a music composition partner of the music director [CHO Young-wuk] on films such as Old Boy and Sympathy for Lady Vengeance and making original scores with depth. In 2009, he showed a variety of film music in the different movie genres of Yoga, Busan, and Lady Daddy. He led an active career so far, working consecutively with [SHIN Taera] on Black House and My Girlfriend Is an Agent, using comic and dynamic music in Dachimawa Lee, and showing the restrained beauty and simplicity in Sisters on the Road and Fly High. He works independently as well as a member of [CHO Young-wuk]s music staff in charge of melody.
