When she debuted in director IM Kwon-Taek’s <The General’s Son>, she was henceforth seen as a leading actress, which immediately launched her to stardom. Since then she has become famous in movies such as <Paradise Bath House>, <The Day a Pig Fell Into the Well>, and <No.3>. In 2003, she broadened her scope by appearing in dramas such as <Precious Family>, <God of Study>, and <Life is Beautiful>. She also appeared in the 2010 sitcom <All My Love> in which she played a very comical character. In that specific production she portrayed the mother who takes care of ‘Beast’s’ YOON Doo-Jun, and ‘ZEA’s’ member Dong-Jun. She also married the representative of the record label that produced ‘U-Kiss,’ earning her the nickname ‘Idol’s Mother.’
