KIM Ho-sung is the CEO of 20th Century Fox Korea. He debuted his career as a first assistant director at an advertisement agency, a part-time job he took while studying theatre and film at Hanyang University. This naturally led him to join the US-based agency McCann, where he would gain experience in working with an international team. After six years in that field, he resolved to take a stab at the film business and joined Sunwoo Production as head of planning. However, the commercial failure of <The Siren> (2000), the first film he ever produced, seriously made him doubt his ability to succeed on this career path. Several years later, WON Dong-yeon convinced him to set up together a film production company and so KIM became co-director of Realies Pictures. He quickly made a name for himself by executive producing the hit comedy <200 Pounds Beauty> (2006), and later by pitching the scenario of sport comedy <Take Off> (2009), which would become another commercial success. The triumph both commercial and critical of period drama <Masquerade> (2012) further established him as an executive producer with a keen nose. As a result, he was chosen in 2016 by 20th Century Fox International Productions to helm its Korean activities and contributed to NA Hong-jin’s mystery thriller <THE WAILING> (2016).
