KIM was a member of a K-pop group UN from 2000 to 2005. In 2005 when the group separataed, KIM released a solo album as well as started to act. He was cast in K-drama 'Goong' with JU Ji-hoon and YOON Eun-hae and became more known to the public. He released a solo album in Japan in late 2006, acted in the drama 'Witch Yoo-hee' in 2007 and Korea-China co-production film, 'Love Strategy'. In 2009, he admitted to the military.
