Filming on the volleyball drama One Win (translated title), featuring SONG Kang-ho, PARK Jung-min, and JANG Yoon-joo, wound to a close on February 25. The film is the first of two projects that SONG recently signed on to star in for director SHIN Yeon-shick.

SONG plays an unsuccessful volleyball coach who takes on the challenge of leading a woman’s volleyball team that is in search of just one crucial win on the court.

Known around the world for PARASITE (2019) and many other classic Korean films, SONG Kang-ho also recently wrapped the disaster drama Emergency Declaration alongside LEE Byung-hun and JEON Do-yeon. He will next appear in KOREEDA Hirokazu’s Broker (working title) with BAE Doo-na, GANG Dong-won, and IU (aka LEE Ji-eun).

PARK Jung-min, who rose  through works such as Bleak Night (2010) and Tinker Ticker (2013), recently starred in the summer hit DELIVER US FROM EVIL. This year, he will appear in YEON Sang-ho’s Netflix series Hellbound alongside YOO Ah-in.

Following her screen debut on RYOO Seung-wan’s VETERAN (2015), model JANG Yoon-joo returned to screens to very strong notices in last year’s Jeonju Cinema Project Three Sisters. One Win is her first leading role in a commercial film.

Director SHIN Yeon-shick is one of the top directors in the indie film realm, known for works such as The Russian Novel (2012), The Avian Kind (2014), and Romans 8:37 (2017). He also wrote the script for and produced LEE Joon-ik’s critically acclaimed period drama DONGJU; The Portrait of A Poet (2016).

Last year, SHIN and SONG were also confirmed to be collaborating on the upcoming film Cobweb (translated title), a work that will mix black and white and color elements and be shot exclusively on sound stages.
