- After having ratified the UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions adopted in Paris on 20 Octover 2005 (the "UNESCO Convention"), which entered into force 18 March 2007, according to the procedure set in Article 15.10.3 (Entry into force),intending to effectively implement the UNESCO Convention and to co-operate within the framework of its implementation, building upon the principles of the Convention and developing actions in line with its provisions;

- The Government of the Republic of Korea and the Government of New Zealand (hereinafter referred to as "the Parties") Seeking to enhance cooperation between their two countries in the area of film; Desirous of expanding and facilitating the co-production of films which may be conducive to the film industries of both countries and to the development of their cultural and economic exchanges; and Convinced that these exchanges will contribute to the enhancement of relations between the two countries; Have agreed as follows:
