“Again, Facing Each Other,” BIFF Heralded a Normal Festival in 3 Years

The 27th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), which will be held from October 5th (Wed) to October 14th (Fri), unveiled the official posters for the film festival and the film market. The released poster shows an audience staring at the sea under a clear sky. The film festival said, “The poster expresses an image of the audience and the Busan International Film Festival facing each other, which is called the Sea of Cinema. It also contains excitement about holding the normal festival for the first time in 3 years since the Pandemic. The person in the poster looking at the logo of the Busan International Film Festival symbolizes all cineastes, including moviegoers, guests, and industry officials, who visit the festival.”

Since the festival is going to be held back to shape in 3 years, a lot of program sections that could not be conducted during the COVID-19 Pandemic will resume. First of all, Midnight Passion, an official section that introduces genre films such as horrors, SFs, and thrillers that have cinematic qualities with amusement factors, and Asian Film Fund, Platform Busan, and Forum BIFF, which are supporting projects, will be held again. And joining with CHANEL, the Asian Film Academy returned as ‘CHANEL X BIFF Asian Film Academy,’ raising the audience's expectations.

Like the message from the poster, the 27th BIFF is expected to bring audiences and filmmakers together to revitalize exchanges, education, and the industry as a whole.

The official poster for the 17th Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM) has also been released. 2022 ACFM, which has announced full offline events for the first time in 3 years, is introducing Busan Story Market, the world's first source IP sales market, drawing attention from content officials home and abroad.

The 27th Busan International Film Festival will be held for 10 days from October 5 to 14, and the 17th Asia Contents & Film Market will be held for 3 days from October 8 to 11 in BEXCO, Busan.
