OK! MADAM and ME AND ME to Bookend 15th Paris Korean Film Festival

FFCP to Host Special Screenings of THE CLOSET and FORBIDDEN DREAM

 


 

The Paris Korean Film Festival (FFCP) is set to return for its 15th edition from June 23 to July 4. Opening this year’s festivities will be Lee Cheolha’s OK! MADAM (2020), the sky-high action-comedy vehicle with Uhm Jeonghwa

 

Closing the festival the following week will be the mystery-thriller ME AND ME (2020), the directing debut of veteran actor Jung Jinyoung (The King and the Clown, 2005), which stars Cho Jinwoong.

 

Other special screenings at the FFCP this year will include Kim Kwangbin’s horror film The Closet (2020) with Ha Jungwoo and Hur Jinho’s period drama Forbidden Dream (2019), starring Choi Minshik and Han Sukkyu.

 

The films to screen in the Panorama section, which comprises the bulk of the program, will be the Korean Academy of Film Arts (KAFA) graduation project Baseball Girl (2019), the rom-com Crazy Romance with Kong Hyojin and Kim Raewon, Kim Doyoung’s acclaimed feminist drama KIM JIYOUNG, BORN 1982 (2019), and indie hits such as Kim Chohee’s Lucky Chansil (2019) and Lim Daehyung’s Moonlit Winter (2019).

 

This year’s Advance Premiere section, which features early screenings of works that will soon be released in France, will include Woo Minho’s political drama The Man Standing Next (2020) with Lee Byunghun, Yeon Sangho’s debut animation The King of Pigs (2011), and Hong Wonchan’s action noir hit DELIVER US FROM EVIL (2020) with Hwang Jungmin and Lee Jungjae.
