SINGLE IN SEOUL with LIM Soo-jung and LEE Dong-wook to Shoot in November

E som Eyes Role in Myung Films Romantic Drama


The new romantic drama Single in Seoul (literal title), featuring LIM Soo-jung and LEE Dong-wook, is set to begin filming on November 12. Actress E som is also reportedly considering an offer to appear in the project. From Red Carpet (2014) director PARK Bum-su, the film is the latest project from top production company Myung Films.

LIM plays Hyun-jin, an editor who is working on a series of essays for a project called ‘Single in the City’. One of the writers she ends up working with is Young-ho, a popular influencer and lecturer who was once her senior in university. Together, they work on an essay about single life in Seoul, which touches on the past romantic scars. 

Last seen in Mothers (2018), another Myung Films project, LIM Soo-jung is known for A Tale of Two Sisters (2003), PARK Chan-wook’s I’m a Cyborg, but That’s OK (2006) and HUR Jin-ho’s Happiness (2007).

E som is known for Scarlet Innocence (2014) and Microhabitat (2018) and is currently on screens in the word-of-mouth hit SAMJIN COMPANY ENGLISH CLASS.

Better known for his TV work, LEE Dong-wook has nevertheless appeared several times on the big screen, including in The Recipe (2010) and most recently The Beauty Inside (2015) in a supporting role. LIM and LEE has appeared together before, in the 2019 series ‘Search: WWW’.

Director PARK’s most well-known work is the romantic comedy Red Carpet (2014) with YOON Kye-sang and GO Joon-hee.
