KONG Hyo-jin Back to Comedy as a Bitter Single
KONG Hyo-jin and KIM Rae-won are reuniting in the upcoming rom-com The Most Ordinary Romance (translated title), which entered production on January 7.
The feature debut of Director KIM Han-gyeol, who has previously made several indie shorts, The Most Ordinary Romance will be about the encounter and ensuing rocky relationship between two singles hurt and disillusioned by past romantic experiences. Jae-hun (KIM Rae-won) is unable to move on after his most recent break-up and tries to drown his sorrow, while Seon-yeong (KONG Hyo-jin) still holds a grudge against her ex-boyfriend since their separation has ruined her relationship with her co-workers.
KONG Hyo-jin has been on a roll recently, having recently starred in the all-too-real thriller Door Lock (2018) and the crime action Hit-and-Run Squad, the latest of which comes from Coin Locker Girl (2015) director HAN Jun-hee and will hit domestic theaters in two weeks from now. As for KIM Rae-won, he has just finished filming Long Live the King, the adaptation of a popular webtoon in which he plays a gangster boss running for president in order to impress his love interest. KONG and KIM had previously met in the 2003 television drama series Snowman.
The rest of the cast include KANG Ki-young (On Your Wedding Day, 2018), JUNG Woong-in (The Prison, 2017) and JANG So-yeon (THE WAILING, 2016).
