YOON Kye-sang Confirmed to Star in MALMOI

About Two Men who Collect Korean words in Secret During the Japanese Occupation



Actor YOON Kye-sang will star in Malmoi (Korean title). Malmoi was the first attempt by Korean Linguists to compile a modern dictionary in Korea. Based on a true story, the film will depict two men who travel the country to collect Korean words in secret in 1910. YOON will play one of the two men while casting for the other is currently underway. Malmoi is A Taxi Driver (2017) writer UM Yoo-na’s directorial debut, and will be produced by THE LAMP which also put out A Taxi Driver. It will be financed and distributed by Lotte Entertainment, and will start filming in March.

Earlier, YOON Kye-sang starred in Golden Slumber, which is due for release on February 14th. It revolves around a man who goes on the run after being falsely accused of the assassination of the presidential candidate in Gwanghwamun. YOON is to guest star as a secret agent and friend of a leading character (GANG Dong-won). Expectations are high for his next performances after his memorable turn in the role of JANG Chen in the smash hit THE OUTLAWS (2017).
