Lotte Cinema Hits 90 Screens in China

Lotte cinema accelerates expansion of screens in China. Lotte Cinema opened new screens at Lotte Cinema Suzhou Industrial Park in Jiangsu on February 19th, making 90 screens altogether in China.
 
The newly added screens are 7, with 1,022 seats. Since launching Lotte Cinema Songshan in Shenyang in 2010, Lotte Cinema has opened screens in Wuhan, Weihai, Tianjin and Suzhou one after the other, making 11 theaters with 90 screens altogether as of now.
 
Among these, the biggest is Lotte Cinema Shenyang Lotte World, with 16 screens and 3,191 seats, where special facilities like Super 4D and premium screening rooms like Charlotte are also being intensively developed.
 
Lotte Cinema announced that they will “keep on expanding the screens using the strategies like accompanied launching and so on,” while they seek to “localize the staff and introduce Korean style multiplexes, based on (advanced) technology and  thorough market research on the Chinese market, which is the second biggest film market in the world.“
 
Lotte Cinema has 107 theaters and 753 screens in Korea as of February 2016, and 23 theaters and 103 screens in Vietnam.
