WITH OR WITHOUT YOU Invited to the 58th DOK Leipzig

It Has Succeeded on the Domestic Box Office

With or Without You, a documentary by PARK Hyuck-jee has been invited to the competition section of the 58th edition of German International Documentary-Animation Festival (DOK Leipzig).

DOK Leipzig is a well respected film festival which started in 1955 specialized in documentaries and animations. This year, it is to be held in Leipzig in Germany, from 26 Oct-1 Nov.

Atnine Film Co., Ltd., the distributor of With or Without You, revealed that “It is a film that appeals to all generations, and it will compete with many different works from all over the world.”

PARK Hyuck-jee's With or Without You is a documentary illustrating the true story of a man’s first wife and second wife, a naturally hostile relationship, who nonetheless have somehow lived together for 46 years and now have become the only one for each other.

This film was the only documentary in the Jeonju International Film Festival this year, and received the CGV ARTHOUSE Distribution Fund Award, and was also invited to the Korean Documentary Panorama Section of the 12th edition of the EBS International Documentary Festival. In addition, it also received the JIPP Documentary Best Pitching Award in the 14th edition of Jeonju International Film Festval, and the KCA Best Pitching Award at the Incheon Documentary Pitching Forum 2013.

Among the international film festivals abroad, With or Without You has been invited to the New York Documentary Film Festival (2015 Doc NYC), 2015 Belgium Millenium Documentary Film Festival, and 2015 Astra Film Festival in Rumania. This film has been expected by the EBS International Documentary Film Festival to be delivering the emotional fulfillment of a human drama as My Love, Don't Cross That River did, which made With or Without You receive attention even before release.

With or Without You was funded by various parties in the form of co-production, signing broadcasting contracts with many European broadcasting stations including Germany, France, Denmark and Holland, which also positively influenced the invitation to DOK Leipzig.

With or Without You was released on 30 Sep and has attracted more than 20,000 viewers in the first 5 days, and is about to reach 30,000 viewers, with 26,652 accumulated admissions as of Oct 12th.
