Three years after their smash hit Operation Chromite, production company TAEWON ENTERTAINMENT has returned with its latest Korean War epic, the student soldier action-drama Battle of Jangsari. Like its hit predecessor, which starred Liam NEESON, this new film also features a major Hollywood star in a supporting role, this time Megan FOX of Transformers fame.

The film takes its cue from the real story of the Jangsari Landing Operation, in which 772 soldiers, averaging just 17 years of age, were dragged through an all-too-brief two-week training camp before being thrust into the front lines of the Korean War, as a means of clearing the way for the Incheon Landing Operation that would ultimately change the course of the war.

Battle of Jangsari features veteran leading man KIM Myung-min of Deranged (2012) and Pandora (2015) alongside Shinee K-pop band member Min-ho of KIM Jee-woon’s ILLANG : THE WOLF BRIGADE (2018) and was co-directed by top filmmaker KWAK Kyung-taek, known for Friend (2001) among many others, and KIM Tae-hun, known for his work on the action TV series Athena: Goddess of War and IRIS 2.

Megan Fox plays Marguerite HIGGINS in the film, a real-life American reporter and war correspondent who became the first woman to earn a Pulitzer Prize for Foreign Correspondence in 1951 for her coverage of the Korean War.
