The country is holding its breath after the gruesome murder of a girl, who has been found with her limbs amputated. As the case is under intense scrutiny from the media, the police don’t want to take any chances and put two of their best detectives on the case, who also happen to be rivals. Whereas Min-tae (YU Jae-myeong) always follows the procedure to the letter, Han-su (LEE Sung-min) can be more liberal in his interpretation of the law if it gets in his way. The latter is proud to announce after a few days that he resolved the case and arrested a suspect, but Min-tae can’t get over the feeling that something is off and is convinced that the man Han-su caught is innocent. Han-su realizes his mistake when an informant pretends to have intel on the real culprit.
Director LEE Jeong-ho is no stranger to the thriller genre, having already helmed Broken (2014) with LEE Sung-min playing a detective. For his new project, he reiterated his trust in the actor by casting him again. LEE Sung-min has had a busy schedule recently, with The Spy Gone North (2018) and The Witness (2018). As for his co-star YU Jae-myeong in the role of the rival detective, he has become more visible of late with main roles in A Day (2017) and FENGSHUI (2018).
