Review

`121231Bong-sik dies after committing a heinous crime. Yet, even before the god of the underworld, he remains unrepentant and earns a hundred years of the severest punishment. Now, a hundred years later, Bong-sik receives a new karma, according to the rules of the underworld. The film’s ambiance and tone of a fantasy historical drama within the black-and-white minimalist style is particularly impressive. (KANG Sowon)
