Korean-Chinese Deok-jun came to South Korea in the hope of earning some money. He endures various hardships that he had never experienced in China. Eventually he gets involved in a supermarket hostage situation: the supermarket owner’s daughter, Jung-eun, volunteers to be taken hostage in place of her mother and grandmother.
