KIM Hye-soo as the number two in a crime organization who fends off a subordinate and a prosecutor who close in on her and her secret son. The film had its world premiere at the festival.

The Battleship Island chronicles the plight of force coal Korean miners who work deep in the mines of Hashima Island for the Japanese military. When a resistance fighter sneaks onto the island, they attempt a daring escape.
The Battleship Island was released in Korea on July 26th and welcomed 6.59 million viewers (USD 44.63 million).
