- Korean Action Fare on Show at New York’s Museum of the Moving Image

- Five Local Titles over Three Days in the Big Apple
Tomorrow (April 3rd), the Museum of the Moving Image in New York will stage ‘Action Korea’, a showcase of action cinema from Korea. Five titles will screen until April 5th in the event which is co-presented with The Korea Society.The series will kick off tomorrow evening with the recent period action hit Kundo: Age of the Rampant. From Nameless Gangster (2012) director YOON Jong-bin, the film features HA Jung-woo and GANG Dong-won in a Joseon Era Robin Hood-style tale of robbers and nobility.Saturday will feature another Joseon Era action film, War of the Arrows (2011), from Roaring Currents director KIM Han-min. Featuring PARK Hae-il, the film was the most successful Korean release of 2011. Next will be JUNG Byung-gil’s high concept revenge thriller Confession of Murder (2012), starring JUNG Jae-young and PARK Si-hoo.Concluding the series will be The Man From Nowhere and Commitment on Sunday. LEE Jeong-beom’s hitman drama The Man from Nowhere, featuring WON Bin and KIM Sae-ron, proved a massive hit in 2010 while PARK Hong-soo’s Commitment is a North Korean spy action-drama with CHOI Seung-hyun (aka Kpop star T.O.P.).
