A few casting items were announced in the last few days, including news that BoA has confirmed she will participate in her first Korean film, LEE Joon has dropped out of the romance Botox and KIM Ha-neul may join JUNG Woo-sung in upcoming indie Forget Me Not.

Following her stateside debut in Make Your Move 3D, an independent dance film that went on release earlier this year in various European territories and will bow stateside this upcoming Spring, K-pop star BoA has signed on to her first role in a Korean film. Action thriller Big Match was announced last month with stars LEE Jung-jae and SHIN Ha-gyun already attached. At the time, BoA was already circling her role.

LEE Joon’s debut as a lead, Rough Play, bowed at the Busan International Film Festival and went on nationwide release in October earning the K-pop star strong notices for his performance. It wasn’t long before he signed on to Botox, an adaptation of a webcomic that will be directed by the source’s writer, but now word has surfaced that he has exited the project following production delays. The singer is busy working on a new album with band MBLAQ but has received offers for roles in the upcoming projects of directors RYOO Seung-wan and IM Sang-soo.

KIM Ha-neul, star of such films as My Girlfriend Is an Agent (2009) and Blind (2011) has been offered a part alongside JUNG Woo-sung in the new indie Forget Me Not, a feature-length version of director LEE Yoon-jung’s short film Remember O Goddess. Her casting has yet to be confirmed.
