Don LEE (aka MA Dong-seok) is continuing a very busy year with yet another lead role as the star has been cast in the upcoming arm-wrestling drama Champion (working title). Co-starring will be HAN Ye-ri and GWON Yool.

Handling the director’s reigns will be KIM Yong-wan, who has previously made several shorts and web dramas, while LEE was reportedly involved in the scriptwriting process.

More recently he graduated to leading roles, including KIM Ki-duk’s One on One (2014) and the thriller Crime City, which will be released in Korea on October 4th, in time for the Chuseok holiday.

2017 has proven to be an exceptionally busy year for the star, as he filmed leading roles for Brother, Wonderful Life (working title) and Gom-taeng-i (working title), in addition to Crime City and Champion, and also appeared in supporting roles in The Mayor and the yet-to-be-released Along with the Gods Part 1.

HAN was recently seen in the indies Worst Woman (2016), A Quiet Dream (2016) and The Table, which is currently on release. GWON last appeared in the Colonial Era drama Anarchist from Colony

Champion is the latest project from Warner Bros. Korea, who debuted in the market with KIM Jee-woon’s The Age of Shadows last year and are currently back in theaters with PARK Hoon-jung’s V.I.P.

Don LEE aka MA Dong-seok, is an all-round great actor, I watched Train to Busan last night, which is a brilliant movie, but he has starred and appeared in so many different movies it& #39;s almost impossible to keep up. Going on his past roles I& #39;m real sure this will also be a success, just as long as the movie isn& #39;t like & #39;Over the top& #39; with Sylvester Stallone. A Fan & read from England
