“Do Not Disturb the Family”
A new poster for
PARK Chan-wook’s first Hollywood project,
Stoker has been unveiled. Promotion activities for the film which is to premiere in the U.S. on January 20 at the Sundance Film Festival has begun with the release of this poster.
In the poster, main leads, Nicole KIDMAN and Mia WASIKOWSKA stand side by side, looking nervous as they stare at the camera. The main copy line, “Do not disturb the family” brings out the viewers’ curiosity. At the bottom of the poster, the explanation, “from the director of
Old Boy” has been added, demonstrating PARK’s status outside of Korea.
Stoker is a film about a girl who lost her father in an accident. Her uncle visits her as the story unfolds in the mystery thriller. It is PARK’s first film in Hollywood and it is produced by the Ridley SCOTT and the late Tony SCOTT while the script was written by Prison Break actor Wentworth MILLER. The film is set to be released in Korea at the end of February 2013.
