2017 Edition of Webdrama Event to Take Place in Central Seoul
Seoul Webfest is gearing up for its 3rd edition, a two-day event that will take place in August on the 17th and 18th on Daehak-ro (University Street) in Central Seoul. Hosted by the Asia Digital Contents Association, Seoul Webfest 2017 will present around 50 titles from 30 countries across the globe.
Local entries (which include works by expats) will be accepted until May 17th and any genre, spanning drama, comedy, thriller, documentary, reality show or animation will be considered. Webdrama submissions should feature at least three episodes (of which at least two should be subtitled in English), with each not exceeding 20 minutes in length. Submissions must have been released for the first time after January 1st, 2016.
Seoul Webfest states that “Our goals for 2017 are to expand the festival so it can become a viable provider of quality content on an international scale. Our intention is to create a place that nurtures and cultivates upcoming creators.”
The festival partners with global events such LAWEBFEST, Marseille Webfest, Melbourne Webfest, Roma Webfest, Bilbao Webfest, Webfest Montreal, Rio Webfest, Berlin Webfest, Sicily Webfest, Wendie Webfest Hamburg, South Florida Webfest, Austin Webfest, BA Webfest, Baja Webfest, DC Webfest and Dublin Webfest.
