Invited to PiFan’s World Fantastic Cinema Section

Mourning Grave, directed by OH In-chun, was released in domestic theatres on July 3rd. After receiving considerable attention during the Cannes Film Market, it eventually sold to five different countries: China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Mongolia. The film is OH’s first feature length film, a horror story about a boy named In-su who sees ghosts. In-su moves to a remote town where he meets a female ghost at his new school and bonds with her, but his friends start to disappear one by one and In-su realizes that she might have something to do with it. The film provides a mixture of genre, horror and romance, while unraveling the story of the two protagonists.

The Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival (PiFan), which will be held from the 17th until the 27th of this month, invited Mourning Grave as a part of the World Fantastic Cinema program. The film will have three screenings throughout the festival.

Mourning Grave stars KANG Ha-neul who recently became popular due to his role in the popular TV drama The Heirs. The ghost girl is played by KIM So-eun, who has experience in horror films due to her previous credit Someone Behind You (2007).
