  • A HARD DAY Sells to 30+ Countries

    Showbox/Mediaplex Inc. confirmed on the 6th that A Hard Day was sold to over 30 countries including France, UK, South America, Japan, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, and is currently under high dispute over who takes the remake copyright.

    A Hard Day was programmed at the recent 67th Cannes International Film Festival under Directors’ Fortnight and received several positive reviews from critics, leading to the great success it is currently seeing. The rights were purchased by UK distributor STUDIO CANAL, Japan’s New Select, China’s Dadi Film, Hong Kong’s Goldenscene, Taiwan’s Flash Forward Entertainment, French-speaking region’s Bodega Film and South American region by Borsalino.
     
    In addition, the many countries went under dispute over who takes the remake rights, on top of the France distribution rights which was also in competition. The film is still finalizing distribution rights for other regions including North America.

    “Currently, related professionals are internally screening the film and are trying to get their hands on the remake rights,” said Showbox/Mediaplex Inc.
