  • Film Opens in Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan from December

Marriage Blue, a romantic comedy about couples suffering from pre-wedding jitters or depression, will be released in consecutive order around Asian territories. Already pre-sold to seven countries, Marriage Blue’s Asian theatrical release starts with Singapore in December and then Hong Kong in January and Japan in May of next year. In addition, Thailand, Taiwan and China are also preparing for the film’s release in local theaters.

Starring Korean Wave star OK Taec-yeon as well as a rich line-up of actors freely crossing between TV and the screen including LEE Yeon-hee, KIM Gang-woo, KIM Hyo-jin and GO Joon-hee, this film is a dramatic omnibus account of four couples. The production company Soo Film, starting with 2005’s All For Love, has presented a number of omnibus dramas including The Most Beautiful Goodbye, the Horror Stories series and Modern Family. Filmmaker HONG Ji-young previously directed The Naked Kitchen (2009) starring SHIN Min-a and JU Ji-hoon, and an episode in omnibus horror flick Horror Stories.

Released domestically on November 21st, Marriage Blue has been exhibiting a steady rise in ticket sales amongst fierce competitors such as Friend 2 and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. It’s total box office score as of November 27th is 570,488.
