Disney-Marvel’s MCU series is currently peaking with the release of their biggest film to date, Avengers: Endgame, which is breaking box office records around the world as it ties up the stories of the 21 films that preceded it. Phase 3 of the franchise, as it has been dubbed, is set to culminate with the release of Spider-Man: Far from Home this summer, following which The Eternals is expected to take its place as one of the titles of Phase 4.
Based on a Marvel comic series by Jack KIRBY started in the 1970s, The Eternals follows a race of superhuman beings that are described as an offshoot of the evolutionary process that created sentient life on Earth.
