  • YOON Sung-hyun’s HUNTING TIME Locks Down Cast
  • by Christopher Weatherspoon /  Nov 23, 2017
  • Film’s ‘Dream Cast’ Features a Quartet of Popular Actors

Actors LEE Je-hoon, PARK Jung-min, AHN Jae-hong, and CHOI Woo-shik have signed on to star in YOON Sung-hyun's upcoming film Hunting Time (translated title).

Hunting Time depicts a near future where young people, living in slums, are forced to commit crimes to survive in a Korea that has been ravaged by economic crisis.

Preparations for the highly anticipated film have been ongoing for quite some time, with the production finally cementing the deal with the quartet of lead actors just recently.

Hunting Time will be the first film from YOON since his 2011 feature Bleak Night which went on to pick up awards for Best New Actor and Best New Director at both the 32nd Blue Dragon Awards and the 48th Grand Bell Awards.

The popular actors making up the film's ‘dream cast’ will be familiar with audiences. PARK Jung-min, who also appeared in YOON’s Bleak Night picked up multiple awards for his role as SONG Mong-gyu in DONGJU; The Portrait of A Poet (2016) and appeared in the period comedy The King's Case Note (2017) which starred his Hunting Time co-star AHN Jae-hong. LEE Je-hoon recently starred in this year’s Chuseok sleeper-hit I Can Speak (2017) while CHOI Woo-shik made appearances in TRAIN TO BUSAN (2016) and Okja (2017).

Hunting Time will begin shooting in January on location in Korea and Japan with the release expected to happen later next year.
