Dissidenz Films Distributes Korean Art Films

Director LEE Su-jin’s Han Gong-ju was released in 25 French theaters on November 19th. Han Gong-ju’s French distributor Dissidenz Films has been supporting and distributing critically acclaimed works such as works of Koji Wakamatsu and David Sieveking. Other than Han Gong-ju, the company has acquired and released SHIN Su-won’s Pluto (2012) on April 9th and YOON Sung-hyun’s Bleak Night (2010) on May 7th of this year.

Han Gong-ju was invited to Marrakech International Film Festival, Rotterdam International Film Festival and Deauville Asian Film Festival in addition to many more, where it received several awards. In addition, it obtained high praises from Martin Scorsese as well as Cahier du Cinema, bringing in many local French cineastes’ attention. On the opening week, the film took 60th spot in the French box office.
