Gangnam Blues, starring LEE Min-ho and KIM Rae-won has been sold to 11 Asian countries including China, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar and Indonesia. Simply for the fact that Korean Wave stars LEE Min-ho and KIM Rae-won would be starring and also that it is a new film by YOO Ha, who has made films which Korean style action and emotions are well blended in such as Spirit Of Jeet Keun Do - Once Upon A Time In High School and A Dirty Carnival, many distributors in different Asian countries has constantly inquired about sales and distribution of the film.

Since the film received a lot of interest even before shooting, very popular and renowned companies bought it. Japanese distributor is The Klockworx, which imported and distributed The Yellow Sea, The Chaser and Cold Eyes. In China, Shanghai New Empire Entertainment, a complex entertainment company, and Shenzhen Da Fang Media, which distributed Iron Man 3 and The Thieves in the past, bought the sales right of Gangnam Blues. The film will be also distributed by Edko Films, the biggest production, investment and distribution company in Hong Kong. The company distributed Brokeback Mountain and Lust, Caution and produced Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Hero before. The Singaporean distributor of this film Golden Village distributed Edge of Tomorrow and Divergent earlier.

Gangnam Blues, the third part of the street trilogy of YOO Ha following Spirit Of Jeet Keun Do - Once Upon A Time In High School and A Dirty Carnival, is a film about desire, fidelity and betrayal of two guys in the 1970s when development was booming around the Gangnam area of Seoul.
