- Lee Jung-jae’s Artist Studio Teams Up with UK Producer for K-pop Spy Thriller Movie

On the 26th, Artist Studio announced that it had signed a planning and development agreement with UK production company Imaginarium Productions for a film tentatively titled Secret Idol.
<Artist Studio logo. Provided by Artist Studio.>Secret Idol tells the story of a secret agent who goes undercover as a K-pop trainee to fight against a global crime organization.
Artist Studio stated that, together with Imaginarium Productions, they aim to "present a unique universe that combines the realism of the K-pop industry with the tension of teen spy action," adding that they intend to "deliver content with universality and mass appeal that global audiences can relate to."
The two companies are currently developing the story and mapping out a production strategy roadmap. They are also exploring ways to strengthen global collaboration, including casting Hollywood actors and expanding partnerships for overseas distribution and production.
Imaginarium Productions was founded in 2011 by actor-director Andy Serkis and producer Jonathan Cavendish. The company has produced films such as Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle, Next Goal Wins, Breathe, and The Ritual, as well as various Netflix series.
