  • by LEE Yu-jin /  Apr 07, 2015
  • Performances of Korean Sports Documentaries

Wonders is about Korea’s independent baseball team, Goyang Wonders, and follows Coach KIM Sung-geun for three years in this sports documentary. Within six days of its release, 20,000 audiences have bought the tickets and is performing well. Sports which are often called ‘dramas without a scripts’, was captured as a sports documentary. Comparing Wonders to past sports documentaries, the film is doing very well. Recently, Korean sports documentaries have become more diverse, with focus on soccer, baseball, and football. Many are keeping their eyes on Wonders to see if it’ll be able to hit home run in its 9th inning.
