Return of I AM THE KING Director JANG Kyu-sung

Actor LEE Dong-hwi is back on set in the upcoming human drama Young Client (translated title). From director JANG Kyu-sung and production company East Dream, the film recently began production and is expected to complete filming in December.

LEE is playing a law school graduate who pursues only success until he meets two siblings by chance through an incident. He rediscovers laughter and human emotion as he tries to solve the case.

In just a few years, LEE has seen his popularity explode on both the big and small screen. He debuted with bit parts in South Bound (2013) and Cold Eyes (2013) before scoring increasingly larger roles in works such as Tazza-The Hidden Card (2014), THE SOUND OF A FLOWER (2015) and The Handmaiden (2016). Last year saw him graduate to leading roles in ONE-LINE and The Bros.

The project marks JANG Kyu-sung’s return to the director’s chair, seven years after the period comedy I am the King (2012). JANG began his career with Fun Movie (2002), considered one of Korea’s first parody films, and continued in the comedy genre, teaming up twice with CHA Seung-won, on My Teacher, Mr. Kim (2003) and Small Town Rivals (2007). He also made the romantic comedy Lovely Rivals (2004).

Young Client is expected to hit theaters at some point in the first half of next year. LEE’s co-stars include YOO Sun (The Himalayas, 2015), KOH Sui-hee (LOVE+SLING) and SUH Jung-yeon (In Between Seasons).
