King Tae-jong’s third son, Chung-nyeong, thinks he’ll never become king and just indulges himself in reading books. However, when he is appointed the crown prince, Chung-nyeong runs away from his burdensome title. He ends up switching with a slave who looks exactly like him, Deok-chil. As Deok-chil embarks on the perilous palace life in his place, Chung-nyeong falls in a great deal of trouble of his own.
