New Drama from BE WITH ME Director Aims for Summer Shoot
Stars Yoon-a, PARK Jung-min and LEE Sung-min are positively considering offers to appear in Miracle (translated title), the sophomore feature outing for Be With You (2018) director LEE Jang-hoon.
Based on a true story and set in the 1980s, Miracle will follow the story of Bo-kyung and her math prodigy brother Jin-kyung (PARK Jung-min). Together with Jin-kyung’s girlfriend Ra-hee (Yoon-a), they work with the people of their village to make a train station. LEE Sung-min will play Bo-kyung and Jin-kyung’s father.
Superstar Yoon-a, a member of the world-famous K-pop outfit Girls’ Generation, had an impressive silver screen debut with her supporting role in the Lunar New Year action-comedy hit Confidential Assignment in 2017 and followed that up with her first leading role in the disaster action-comedy EXIT, another smashing success that drew well over 9 million viewers (USD 65.48 million) last summer.
PARK Jung-min, who became a star after appearing in DONGJU; The Portrait of a Poet (2016), was recently seen in Tazza: One Eyed Jack (2019), START-UP (2019) and Time to Hunt. Veteran LEE Sung-min’s recently credits include The Spy Gone North (2018), The Beast (2019) and Mr. Zoo: The Missing VIP.
Director LEE debuted with Be With You, a romantic fantasy drama based on a Japanese novel. Starring SON Ye-jin and SO Ji-sub, the film was a hit in early 2018, drawing 2.6 million viewers (USD 17.2 million), as well as warm responses from audiences and critics.
