LEE Seung-gi Co-Stars in Joseon Era Romcom
After almost four months of principal photography, new period drama Marital Harmony (literal tile) wrapped on December 23rd. From debut director HONG Chang-pyo, the film features young actors SHIM Eun-kyoung and LEE Seung-gi.
Miss Granny (2014) star SHIM appears as Princess Songhwa who refuses to go along with a plan to marry someone who she will be matched with based on their chances for ‘marital harmony’. Dealing with four potential suitors, each with different fate signs, Songwha is helped by Seo Do-yoon, played by LEE, a specialist in interpreting marital harmony signs.
Getting started on both the big and small screen in 2004, SHIM grew into major roles in hits such as Sunny (2011) and Masquerade (2012) before landing the lead part in Lunar New Year smash Miss Granny. She is also slated to appear in The Wait, Seoul Station and Fabricated City this year.
