Korean Film Council Holds Korean Film Showcase in India

Korean-Indian Film Industry Exchange Night on November 21st
 

Korean Film Council (KOFIC) is holding events including Korean Film Showcase, Korean-Indian Co-production Seminar & Biz Matching and Korean-Indian Film Industry Exchange Night at the 47th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Goa. There are special screenings, the Best of Korean Cinema and Memoirs of Fears, in the Korean Film Showcase from November 21st to 30th.

Meanwhile, Korean-Indian Co-production Seminar & Biz Matching at the Cidade de Goa hotel arranged a meeting of Korean and Indian filmmakers to promote film business interchange. A policy of Korean-Indian film industry and a study of co-production cases were presented in the Film Industry Forum during the event. Also, vitalization of remake rights sales and location incentive program in Korea were discussed. On the same day, The Korean-Indian Film Industry Exchange Night invited about 200 filmmakers from both countries to expand both countries’ film industry exchange and to strengthen their network. 

The Korean Film Showcase opened with KIM Seong-hun’s Tunnel, and features Korean latest films including The World of Us, Assassination (2015), The Shameless (2015) and Coin Locker Girl (2015). Horror and thriller movies like THE WAILING, Inside Men (2015) and Office (2015) will be screened at the Memoirs of Fears. 

In addition, filmmakers such as Tunnel director KIM Seong-hun, The Shameless director OH Seung-uk, Coin Locker Girl director HAN Jun-hee and Office director HONG Won-chan will visit Goa to meet movie fans. IFFI is taking place from November 20th to 30th.
