LEE Tae-kyoung, born in 1991, made up her mind to be an actor when she was a senior in middle school. She joined a youth drama company at the age of 18 and took part in a few stage productions, before she made a first appearance in the short film <Laughing Dog> (2011). The film was later expanded and debuted in the form of a feature film at Indieforum, but after that, unsure about pursuing acting, she took a break for more than a year. Just when she started having a better grasp of what she expected from an acting career and became more determined than ever, she was offered the lead role in the short <I’ll Give You My Panties> (2014), a film that she now considers her real debut. With the number of her short film participations growing, LEE started to draw notice and was particularly praised for her portrayal of a woman engaged in a lesbian relationship in the short <Family Plan> (2016). She later starred in <A thought in the theater>, the segment of film anthology <Cinema with You> (2017) that was directed by up-and-coming director JEONG Ga-young, in which she played JEONG Ga-yong herself giving a Q&A session after the screening of one of her films. After appearing in the award-winning indie drama <After My Death> (2017), her first major role in a feature film, LEE starred in <The Land on the Waves> (2018), the sophomore feature of LIM Tae-gue, and the short <Graduation> (2018). She was seen recently in the drama film <One blue rainy day> (2020).
