Born in 1977, Lee Seungwon debuted with the short film <Contradiction> (2005), which was invited to the Critics’ Week at the 6th Jeonju International Film Festival. After he received the FIPRESCI Award at the Hong Kong International Film Festival for his sophomore feature <Happy Bus Day> (2016), Lee starred in the indie thriller <Fanfare> (2019). His latest film, <Three Sisters> (2020), was selected for the Jeonju Cinema Project and went on to be selected by many festivals abroad and was praised by local critics.
