At first training to become a professional swimmer, CHOI Moon-seok suddenly changed his mind in college upon watching KWAK Jae-young’s <My Sassy Girl> (2001), impressed as he was by the emotionally powerful conclusion of the film and hoping to evoke similar emotions in the spectators with films of his own. After contacting an acquaintance working in films, he found a job as a production set assistant for <Scent of Love> (2003). The communication skills he had acquired as a swimming teacher proved a valuable asset, and soon enough he was promoted to the position of Unit Production Manager for <Oh! Brothers> (2003) and <Sakwa> (2005), and later worked as Line Producer on the smash hit comedy <200 Pounds Beauty> (2006). After serving as production supervisor on PARK Chan-wook’s <Thirst> (2008) and <Miss Conspirator> (2012), he became main executive producer for <The Wrath> (2018). With the crime drama <Voice of Silence> (2020), CHOI made his debut as a full-fledged producer.
