Born in 1972, CHOI Byung-mo made his official debut with a minor role in the comedy <The First Amendment> (2003) but wouldn’t be seen again on the big screen until a decade later. He instead spent the 2000s pursuing his career as a stage actor, performing in productions of <Suspense Hamlet> and <I Would Like to See>. He finally made his big screen comeback in 2013, through a supporting role in the epidemy disaster film <Flu> (2013). He then moved to television with a first series credit in the thriller drama <Reset> (2014), just when his film career really took off, as he was cast in crime dramas <Confession> (2014), <Gangnam Blues> (2014) and <Office> (2014). He soon became particularly busy on the small screen, with up to six series in 2016 only, which include the hits <The Good Wife> and <Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo>. After appearing in the Cannes’ Midnight Screening-invited <The Merciless> (2016), he could be seen in the courtroom drama <Herstory> (2017), and the espionage thriller <The Spy Gone North> (2017), which was also presented in Cannes.
