Born in 1960, JUNG Won-joong debuted his acting career on stage in 1984, as a member of the Mokwha Repertory Company, after graduating from the prestigious Seoul Institute of the Arts in dramatics. Among his most notable performances are <Come to See Me>, the play from KIM Gwang-rim that inspired BONG Joon-ho for his <Memories of Murder>, as well as <Made in China>. Following a first foray into cinema in 1994 in the movie <Sado Sade Impotence>, which is notably set in the world of theatre, JUNG could be spotted in the comedy-dramas <The Adventure of Mrs. Park> (1996) and <Push! Push!> (1997), as well as the crime action film <Libera Me> (2000) and the action-comedy <Volcano High> (2001). Around the same time, he also became a steady presence on television, starting with a bit role in Korea’s first teen sitcom <Three Guys and Three Girls> in 1997, and gained wider recognition through his recurring role of a classroom teacher in the high school sitcom <Non Stop 3> (2002-2003).
